70% vote for action over pay

Members have decisively rejected the employers’ 1% pay offer.  Over 70% have voted for action short of a strike in support of our national negotiators.  Members have also decided (55%-45%) not to take strike action at the moment.   The next steps will be discussed nationally by the HE Committee this Friday and locally at a meeting of UCU Committee on Wednesday 17th October 1.15 in 6E2.1 … more
