USS update

UCU has briefed branches on the latest developments in the USS negotiations.   Talks were resumed following the decision of UCU HE Sector Conference to suspend the action over changes to pensions contributions and benefits.   James Davenport attended on behalf of Bath members and you can read his notes JHD-USS.nov12

Welsh staff walk out over high earner’s 20% pay rise

600 staff at Caerphilly council in Wales staged a lunchtime walkout after their boss was awarded a pay rise of more than 20%.
