Branch meeting Wednesday 16 April 1.15 1W2.5

Employers have agreed to bring forward talks on pay to next Tuesday, allowing some time for them to make an improved pay offer before the marking boycott starts on 28th April.

There will be a branch meeting for all members on Wednesday 16th April 1.15 in 1W2.5 to brief members on what the boycott will involve.  Branch officers are also prepared to attend any departmental meetings you might want to organise over the next 3 weeks.

We have been receiving strong support from students for the boycott.  The National Union of Students has come out in support of the boycott, and their conference included a lovely piece of satire, and the latest edition of the Bath student paper Impact carries a sympathetic editorial.  You can read what the Bath SU are asking students to do

We have created our own page about the marking boycott for students
and you can direct your students to that for information.   Bath UCU also has information for you on what the boycott involves and what you can do to increase pressure on employers to make an offer that will stop the boycott.
