Professorial Pay

In 2019, UCU secured the right to recognise the Bath professoriate for the purposes of collective bargaining following a referendum – the first UCU branch to win recognition for the professoriate in this manner.

Following subsequent negotiations and extensive membership consultation, the UCU professoriate voted to accept a negotiated proposal for a new pay scale and process in 2022. This was the first time that a professorial pay system has been implemented following negotiations with the recognised trade union.
